Oman Air's Engineering and Maintenance Division has efficiently registered to provide Aircraft Technical certification services for ETIHAD and TURKISH Airlines, which commenced its scheduled flights to Muscat, Seeb International Airport.
In this regard, Engineer Ali Redha Mohammed Al Lawatiya, Senior Manager Third Party & Technical Support said: "Oman Air has successfully completed ETIHAD Airways and TURKISH Airlines Audits associated with safety and quality standards. The successful completion of the audit verifies Oman Air's Engineering and Maintenance Division eminence, besides affirming our status providing the high quality maintenance and the most reliable services, set up by International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Oman Directorate General of Civil Aviation and Meteorology (DGCAM).
The Division has to its credit the approvals of the Various Civil Aviation Authorities as furnished below
- Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.
- Kuwait Directorate General Civil Aviation ( DGCA)
- Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.
- Civil Aviation Authority of Qatar: .
- General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) -UAE.
- Directorate General Civil Aviation (DGCA) -India.
- Turkish Civil Aviation Authority
- European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA.145.0108)
Eng. Ali added: "Our high standard and competent services will increase our third party handling business opportunities. We currently provide Technical Ground Handling Engineering Services to 26 Customer Airlines and other ad-hoc operators transiting via Seeb International Airport, and Aircraft Technical certification services to eight airlines".

It is worth mentioning that the Third Party & Technical Support Department is a part of Oman Air's Engineering and Maintenance Division, and their main responsibilities consist of: Providing Contractual Technical Handling to 26 Customer Airlines & Aircraft Technical Certification to 8 Airlines such as: Kuwait Airways, SriLankan Airlines, Egypt Air, Qatar Airways, Indian Express, ETIHAD, Turkish Airlines & Travel Services for various types of Aircraft : A319,A320, A321,A310, A330, A340, B737 & B777).
