Oman Air Continues its Support to Ahmad Al Harthy
Oman Air announced its continued support to ace racer Ahmad Al Harthy for the highly prestigious 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship season.
Ahmad is the first racing driver of international standing to emerge from Oman, or from the entire Gulf region, and is ranked amongst the top five drivers of the Championship following his recent race at the UK’s iconic Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit.
Confirming Oman Air’s sponsorship of Ahmad Al Harthy, Oman Air’s Chief Officer Corporate Affairs, Philippe Georgiou says:
“Oman Air is committed to supporting home-grown sporting talent and I am delighted to announce that we are one of the main sponsors of Ahmad Al Harthy for the current season in the United Kingdom.
“Ahmad is a truly talented driver, who has demonstrated flair and determination throughout his career. He has gained recognition not only for himself, but also for his country and it is a pleasure to provide the support that could see him fulfil his potential and achieve his dreams.
“We are very happy that Ahmad produced his most competitive drive of the season at Oulton Park in Cheshire on Sunday, 6th June, to record his third Pro-Am 1 Class podium during the eighth round of the 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship.”
Ahmad Al Harthy drives for the Red Line Racing team and first raced professionally in 2006 for the Oman Racing Team.
Responding to Oman Air’s sponsorship offer, Ahmad says:
“The generous sponsorship of my home country’s National Carrier means a great deal, both to me and to Red Line Racing. Oman Air is a hugely-respected international airline and a brand associated with quality, comfort and genuine achievement. I know from first hand experience that they look after their customers very well and have had a great experience flying with them as a passenger and also as a beneficiary of their sponsorship. I look forward to demonstrating that their faith in me is well-placed and continue to taking the Oman Air brand with me onto the winner’s podium.”
